The Lurker
Annoying Windows feature of the day

When you press Ctrl-C during the execution of a batch file, a prompt asks you if you really mean it:
. I don't think I've ever wanted to cancel a single command running in a batch file but continue with the rest of the batch file. But that's not what's bugging me right now.
Terminate batch job (Y/N)?
My complaint is that when you type Y or N, that line uselessly goes into your command history. So when I hit up and enter to run the batch file again (a habit I picked up using Unix shells), instead what happens is I'm informed that there is no command called "y". I just can't begin to imagine a reason for cmd to do this.
