Telstra threatens ADSL customers transferring away with a return to the waiting list

It's so nice to see Telstra admitting to blatantly anti-competitive behaviour for a change, rather than trying to pretend it is in the best interests of the consumer:

ISPs Australia-wide are furious after Telstra wrote to a customer saying he would lose his ADSL connection if he tried to change from Bigpond to another ISP.

The letter, written by a Telstra "Senior Investigations Officer", said "there are currently Telstra customers waiting to connect to ADSL in that exchange".
