The Lurker
Fun with search engines

It felt like time to go through my referrer logs looking for interesting search engine queries. The highlights:
- Freddie Prinze jr's death
- "useless radio buttons"
- "This page intentionally left almost blank" (my site is the third in the results, suggesting that pedants generally don't rate too highly on Google)
- "The real reason dinosaurs became extinct" (a blog entry title which I took from a Far Side comic. I wonder if recreating someone else's work poorly is better or worse than just outright copying it)
- A search engine, PicSearch, which I hadn't heard of before, and which seems to ... greatly admire ... the look of Google's web site.
- The usual webcollage-inspired nonsense search terms (lurking being the one which actually draws it to my site): airfields, besmirch, tablecloths, spins, bedevil, retrieves, bureaucrats, compactest, etruria, irresponsible, twenty, retreating, crackling, bashful
