Dial-up! *sigh* mooax.com email addresses slowly becoming more likely to work. (Slowly.) The other mooax-related stuff I mentioned earlier is still going nowhere.

In other exciting news, web.archive.org managed to snag one of my few web site images from 1997. Here it is:

It's a shame I didn't create a page displaying all the random background images I had, or more than one of them (the one that was chosen when web.archive.org hit my site back then) might have ended up in the archive, because I thought the penguin was pretty cool.

Fun fact: if you type in a Windows 95 terminal too fast for the program running in it to cope with (in my case ssh over a dialup connection just isn't snappy enough), the letters you type after it starts beeping are fed to the program in reverse order. In this exciting example, the beeping started just after "right o":
