On the adoption of version control systems

Mostly I enjoyed this introductory post on version control systems for this quote:

clearcase - Developed by (the Rational Software division of) IBM. Clearcase is an exceptionally unusual VCS in that I've never heard anyone I know mention a positive word about it. Literally. They all seem to have stories about how it seems to hinder progress far more than it helps.

I do love some Clearcase bashing.
