Remember when people a few years ago in the UK and later Australia were dared to declare themselves Jedi knights when they filled out their census forms? Here's a related story about police in the UK. Like the claim that the census would lead to Jedi being "officially recognised" as a religion, this story suggests that there would be interesting consequences resulting from this "self-defined ethnicity" survey:

because the Home Office now had a certain number of Jedi in the police, they were automatically labelled as a minority. This meant that the Home Office now had a target to increase the recruitment of Jedi, provide career development for currently serving Jedi and address the problem of specialist units which were under represented by Jedi.
