It seems that whenever I start to think using Microsoft products isn't as bad as I thought, something comes along and offers me a little reminder that yes, it really is that bad.
To be fair, about thirty of those steps are installing Cygwin, and anyone who has experienced the Cygwin installer will appreciate that it really is just that painful. But even that would not have been necessary if Windows was less failure-prone to begin with.
